Straight From the Heart is an independent podcast I created to share authentic conversations inspired by my passion for sports, entertainment, movies, music, and culture. More than discussing headlines, the podcast reflects my personal experiences and the journey I'm building through the entertainment industry.
From concerts and movie premieres to book signings, fan festivals, album release parties, and industry events, every experience gives me a new perspective to share. Through meaningful conversations and honest reflections, I hope to inspire others while documenting my journey toward a career in sports and entertainment marketing.
Why I Created Straight From the Heart

Straight From the Heart was created as a place where I could share my perspective on the moments that inspire me while connecting with others through authentic conversations. Whether I'm reflecting on a concert, discussing a new album, sharing what I learned from a book signing, or talking about an unforgettable entertainment event, every episode is rooted in experiences that have shaped my journey.
The podcast gives me the opportunity to combine my passion for storytelling with my love for sports, entertainment, music, movies, and culture while continuing to grow as a media professional.
Season One: Building the Foundation
Season One marked the beginning of my podcasting journey.
I independently developed the concept, created a 28-week editorial calendar, planned each episode, recorded every episode using my iPhone, designed promotional graphics, managed the podcast's social media presence, and successfully completed my first season as an independent creator.
Midway through the season, my original co-host stepped away from the podcast. Rather than ending the project, I adapted and continued moving forward. Treychon Carter joined me as a co-host for several episodes, helping me complete Season One while reinforcing the importance of adaptability, teamwork, and perseverance.
That experience taught me that challenges may change the path, but they don't have to stop the journey.
Looking Ahead: Season Two
Season Two represents an exciting new chapter for Straight From the Heart.
As I continue attending concerts, movie premieres, book signings, BET Fan Fest, album release parties, sporting events, and other entertainment experiences, the podcast will evolve into a platform where I share those firsthand experiences with my audience.
